Best Drawing Tablets 2018 - Comparison

The best cheap Drawing tablets
If the Drawing tablet market only attracts you as an amateur or beginner, this category will be for you. For less than 150$, we have selected the tablets that offer the most freedom and comfort of use.

For this price, the size of the usable surface does not exceed the A5 format - half of an A4 sheet. From experience, this feature is better for beginners, who will find their way on the surface easier to get used to develop a good coordination between the position of the hand and that of the mouse.

Huion H610 Pro : the best not expensive

It's not just Wacom in life! Despite the brand's use of the drawing tablet market, ensured by their speed to adapt and the quality of their products, other alternatives have emerged and deserve attention.

Huion introduces us to the H610 Pro, a model that appears to be one of the best value-for-money options in entry-level products. For less than € 100, it claims to bring a quality and functions previously reserved for more prestigious ranges. But does she hold the road?

Like the Wacom One, it's an A5 tablet. There are still wider edges, with a band of controls - to the left of the device - which appears larger than necessary. It contains the basic functions of zoom, eraser, selection ... Many users of tablets have noted that their presence is relatively superfluous and they have not all made the habit of using them regularly.

The work surface is nice. Its coating is slightly granular, which ensures a good feeling of drawing. On the upper part there is a series of programmable buttons that can be deactivated (they are an integral part of the work surface).

The stylus is rechargeable. It is therefore light and has a good grip. A stylus holder and two spare blades are delivered with the tablet.

The H610 Pro stands out in terms of performance. It offers 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity, which is twice the Wacom One. On the other hand, there is still no inclination detector.

The resolution is 5080 lines per inch: it is more than adequate for this price range and will be sufficient for the least sensitive work.

Be cautious about drivers: some users have had difficulty installing on a somewhat dated operating systems, and you may need some basic computer skills to overcome them.

Huion proves with the H610 Pro that Wacom does not have a monopoly, and that tablets that have middle-of-the-range qualities can be accessible to the general public. WE love !

Wacom One : The classic you never get tired of

With its 10 "work surface, the Wacom One is quite small. This allows it to rank in the category of small prices despite interesting features.

Black, elegant and especially fine, we love above all its ergonomics. It does not clutter superfluous controls on the edge of the tablet, and thus optimizes the ratio between work surface and the size of the device.

As for the drawing itself, the performances are correct. Waco One has 1024 pressure levels at the tip of the stylus only. It will be seen that other more complete models take into consideration the inclination of the stylus to make the plot on the screen; this is unfortunately not his case.

The resolution is 100 lines / mm - this data, specific to drawing tablets, determines to summarize the density of pressure sensors, and therefore its accuracy. The multi touch option is non-existent. It is the simultaneous recognition of two points of contact; this feature is present on many newer or more expensive products.
